Machining Standard feet

Using a spent Soda Syphon Cartridge to steady a standard whilst machining.

he standard is held in the 3 jaw chuck. Rotate the standard when setting up to get the most central position.

Use the lathe at a slow speed when skimming the feet.

I used a high speed tool to machine the feet, a tungsten carbide tool would have been better, as there were some hard spots on the feet and I had to re-sharpen the tool a couple of times.
