Slitting saw

I decided to make a test locking hinge arrangement to test the sort of turning forces it would accept, also the force needed on the locking screw to lock the hinge.

Here I'm cutting the slot into the hinge pin location hole to provide the spit hinge.

Slow and steady is always good when using slitting saws, they are expensive to replace.

The saw is fed in a small amount each time. then slowly moved across the workpiece.

I only cut from front to back, winding the saw back to the begining before adding more cut.
